Type 1007 Ptfe Compensators

PTFE Expansion Joints, commonly known as Teflon expansion joints, are one of the axial compensator types. These are special expansion elements capable of absorbing axial expansions and vibrations along the pipe axis in piping systems. Thanks to their high chemical resistance, they offer a reliable solution in pipelines that carry aggressive fluids.
Piping systems are divided into different expansion zones in order to manage thermal expansion and vibration in a controlled manner. These zones are isolated from each other through fixed points (fixed supports), ensuring the mechanical stability of the system.
The axial movement occurring in each isolated expansion zone is absorbed by the PTFE expansion joint integrated into that specific zone. In this way, stresses that may arise in the pipeline are balanced without causing any structural damage to connection points or equipment.
